Inviting Your Team

Inviting Your Team

This article explains how to invite teammates to your PulseAPI team so they can view monitors, respond to incidents, and manage alerts.

Prerequisites: You must be a team Owner or Admin to invite members.

Step 1: Open Team Management

  1. In the left sidebar, click Organization.
  2. Click on your team name to open the team detail page.
  3. Click the Members tab.

Step 2: Send the Invitation

  1. Click Invite Member.
  2. Enter the teammate's email address.
  3. Select their role:
    • Admin — can manage monitors, rules, channels, members, and projects (cannot delete the team or transfer ownership)
    • Member — can manage monitors, projects, rules, channels, and acknowledge/resolve incidents
    • Viewer — read-only access; cannot create or modify anything
  4. Click Send Invitation.

PulseAPI sends an email invitation to that address. The invitation appears in the Pending Invitations list until it's accepted.

Tip: If a teammate doesn't receive the email, click the ... menu next to their pending invitation and select Resend Invitation.

Step 3: Teammate Accepts the Invitation

Your teammate will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation. Here's what happens on their end:

  • If they already have a PulseAPI account: They'll see an accept/decline modal after clicking the link. Clicking Accept adds them to your team immediately.
  • If they don't have an account yet: They'll be prompted to register first, then automatically redirected to accept the invitation.

Once accepted, they can switch to your team using the Team Switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar.

Plan Limits on Team Members

The number of team members you can invite depends on your plan:

If you've reached your limit, you'll see an error when attempting to send an invitation. Upgrade your plan to add more members.
