Updating Your Profile (Name, Email, Timezone)
This article explains how to update your name, email address, and timezone in PulseAPI.
Opening Profile Settings
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click the Profile tab (it may open to this tab by default).
Updating Your Name
- Click into the Name field.
- Type your updated name.
- Click Save Changes.
Your name updates across the app immediately, including in the team member list.
Updating Your Email Address
- Click into the Email field.
- Enter your new email address.
- Click Save Changes.
Important: After changing your email, PulseAPI sends a verification link to your new address. You must click that link to confirm the change. Until verified, your old email address remains active for login.
If you don't receive the verification email, check your spam folder. You can request another verification email from the Profile tab.
Setting Your Timezone
Your timezone setting affects how timestamps are displayed throughout the app — check history, incident timelines, maintenance windows, and planned outage times all use this setting.
- Click the Timezone dropdown.
- Search for or scroll to your timezone (full IANA timezone list, e.g., "America/Chicago", "Europe/London").
- Select your timezone.
- Click Save Changes.
Note: PulseAPI stores all times internally as UTC. Your timezone setting only affects how they're displayed. Changing your timezone does not alter any historical data.
