Changing Your Password

Changing Your Password

This article explains how to change your PulseAPI account password.

Prerequisites: You'll need to know your current password. If you've forgotten it, use the password reset flow instead.

Steps

  1. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Click the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the Change Password section.
  4. Enter your Current Password.
  5. Enter your New Password.
  6. Enter your new password again in the Confirm Password field.
  7. Click Update Password.

If the update is successful, you'll see a confirmation message. Your new password takes effect immediately.

Password Requirements

PulseAPI requires passwords to be at least 8 characters. There are no restrictions on character types, but using a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters improves security.

If You've Forgotten Your Password

You can't change your password from Settings if you don't know your current one. Instead:

  1. Log out of PulseAPI.
  2. Go to the login page.
  3. Click Forgot Password?.
  4. Enter your email address and click Send Reset Link.
  5. Check your email for a reset link and follow the instructions.
