Editing and Deleting a Project

This article explains how to edit a project's name or description, and how to delete a project you no longer need.

Prerequisites: Editing and deleting projects requires Owner or Admin role.

Editing a Project

  1. In the left sidebar, click Organization and then navigate to the Projects area.
  2. Click the project you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit (pencil icon or the ... menu → Edit Project).
  4. Update the Name or Description.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting a Project

Warning: Deleting a project does not delete the monitors inside it, but it does remove the project grouping. Monitors previously in the deleted project will need to be reassigned to another project.

  1. Navigate to the project detail page.
  2. Click the ... menu → Delete Project.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

If any monitors are still assigned to the project, you'll be prompted to reassign them to another project before deletion can proceed.
